Rachael Gilligan (BSc. Phty)
Rachael graduated from University College Dublin in Ireland with a Bachelor of Science(Honours) degree in Physiotherapy.
She began her healthcare career as a Physiotherapist in busy acute hospitals across Ireland and the UK. Rachael became an established hospital-based Physiotherapist and succeeded in working across many clinical areas including Orthopaedics, Critical care, Age-Related Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal and Respiratory settings. This extensive experience gives Rachael a unique perspective and a rounded approach to providing effective physiotherapy treatment to people of all ages, physical abilities and complex backgrounds.
Rachael has also been involved heavily in sport and athletics throughout her life and this has given her an understanding of the physical demands that different types of sport and exercise require. Her previous work with sports teams means she is aware of the importance of excellent, evidence-based Physiotherapy in rehabilitation and injury prevention.
Rachael has a love for many forms of exercise, including Pilates. She currently completing her APPI Mat Pilates training and combines this knowledge with her skills in Physiotherapy to get the best results for her clients. Whether it be returning to walking, running, sport or simply daily life without fear of movement – Rachael incorporates targeted exercise prescription, education and manual therapy techniques to help people continue doing what they enjoy in life.
